Legend Race with NCCU Police has created Pandamonium--a 5K Mud/Obstacle Run in Pittsboro on September 13th with monies going to Pittsboro Elementary and The Special Olympics.  See the flyer for full details!

Safety Patrol Applications


Applicatio
ns for 4th graders to serve on the PES Safety Patrol are due by Sept. 12th.  Applications are available here.
Kindergarten Registration
It's not too late to register your child for kindergarten for the 2014-2015 school year!  Please register as soon as possible to help us prepare accordingly.  Packets will be available from the front office and should be turned in between the hours of 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM. 

Please bring the following items with you to register your child.
  • Your child’s birth certificate
  • Immunization records
  • 2 verifications of residency (with parent/custodian name and address)
    • Driver’s License or Picture ID
    • Other examples: rental agreement, utility bill, phone bill (cannot be cellular phone bill)
  • Custody papers, if applicable
  • Phone numbers of emergency contacts and doctor’s information
We will make photocopies of the documents that you are providing and return the originals to you.

Plan to schedule a screening appointment for your child and a tour of the school for yourself upon turning in the registration packet.  Kindergarten screening/tour dates are still being determined, but we will announce them as soon as they are confirmed.

PTA Uses SignUp Genius!
The Thrift Store is our school's largest fundraiser !  Please access the link below and commit to supporting our school.  Keys for the administration/store drop boxes are available at the Chatham County Thrift Store next to Piggly Wiggly, Mon. - Sat., 9:00 - 4:30. Keys for the PES drop box will be available in the PES office Mon. - Fri.,  7:30 - 4:00.  If you have any questions, please contact pesptavolunteercommunication@gmail.com.

To locate updates to the School Improvement Plan along with minutes from our monthly meetings please click on Principal Poston's Office on the left.  School Improvement Plan meetings are typically the first Tuesday of each month at 3:30 in the media center.  All are invited! 

Volunteers!
Chatham County Schools has initiated a new volunteer application system for the 2013-2014 school year.  Everyone wishing to volunteer in the school system will be required to register online with AppGarden.  The link can be accessed on the "Parents" tab (above) under the heading "Volunteers Needed!", or click here.  Anyone needing assistance with registering may ask for help from the office staff.
